DPC Summit Scholarship Fund

The AAFP Foundation has partnered with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the DPC Alliance, and the Family Medicine Education Consortium to create the Direct Primary Care (DPC) Summit Medical Student and Resident Scholarship Fund.

The DPC Summit Scholarship Fund focuses on inspiring the future physician workforce by exposing them to direct primary care, an innovative practice model.

Inspiring the future family medicine workforce

The DPC Summit plays a key role in educating family physicians, students, residents and external stakeholders on the DPC practice model. Through expert panels, success stories, and connections between attendees and mentors, we have seen awareness of this model grow.

We believe exposure to the DPC practice model will influence medical students and residents on their journey to family medicine. The DPC Summit is a great place for students and residents to learn the fundamental aspects of DPC while also connecting with thought leaders.

All scholarships are made possible by donations from family physicians, and organizations committed to supporting the future of DPC and the pipeline of family medicine.

Every charitable donation of $700 helps sponsor a medical student or resident to attend DPC Summit’s inspirational conference in 2026.

Scholarships will help to cover the recipient’s travel, lodging, and conference registration. Your tax-deductible gift is a powerful investment in our specialty every gift is important to the success of this program.
