DPC Summit Scholarship

About the Scholarship

Ten complimentary registrations will be awarded; recipients will be selected by a panel of judges from the DPC Summit planning committee. 

Eligibility Requirements

You must be a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), Family Medicine Education Consortium (FMEC), or DPC Alliance to apply.

Submission Guidelines

Application window will open May 10, 2021.  Medical students and residents who wish to apply for this scholarship  should fill out the application form (to be provided soon).  

Deadline and Notification

The deadline for the scholarship application is May 31, 2021, midnight CT. The selected participants will be notified via email by June 14, 2021.

Review Process

The applications will be reviewed and scored by the members of the DPC Summit planning committee. The applicants receiving the highest numeric scores will be chosen to receive the scholarship (free registration).

Every effort will be made to maintain a balance between the number of family medicine residents and the number of medical students.


The AAFP will work with the scholarship winners to finalize their registration.

The AAFP Foundation has partnered with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the Family Medicine Education Consortium to create the new Direct Primary Care (DPC) Summit Medical Student and Resident Scholarship Fund.   

The DPC Summit Scholarship Fund focuses on inspiring the future workforce by exposing them to DPC, an innovative practice model.
