New This Year! Clinical Procedure Workshops

New to 2020! Gain procedural experience from expert faculty. Learn more about common procedures performed in a family medicine practice.Due to the decision to go virtual, all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the clinical procedural workshops. Separate registration is not required. 

2020 Clinical Procedure Workshops Topics:

Dermoscopy  - Friday, July 17 from 8:30–11 a.m. CT 

  • Examine different skin lesions to determine typical pathologic patterns of types of skin cancer.
  • Utilize dermoscopy to differentiate seborrheic keratosis from melanocytic lesions.
  • Integrate checklists and evaluation tools into a dermoscopic examination of suspected skin lesions and melanoma to compile an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Conduct a cost/benefit analysis of dermatoscopes in your practice.

Joint Injections  - Friday, July 17 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. CT 

  • Participants will learn and enhance skills in joint and bursae injections. Common musculoskeletal complaints, exam, and approaches will be covered to show how this valuable skill is utilized.   

Cancellation Policy

AAFP must receive notice of cancellation by June 26, 2020. Cancellations or no-shows after this date are not eligible for a refund. Requests for full cancellations will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee.
